Speedometer Loose & Rattling

After taking my speedo housing apart and installing a new speedo unit, it was loose and would rattle when riding.:argue: The looseness is between the visor ring and housing. I bent/tweaked the bracket inside the housing untill I got it tight. It seemed that it would be tight when I put the middle screw in but would loosen up when I mounted it to the handle bar mounting stem. The last time I mounted it I didn't tighten the two larger screws on the outsides of the middle screw and it stayed tight. Maybe these two screws was distorting the bracket on the inside. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and maybe how you fixed it?:job:

Can't you just pust a couple washers in between the bracket/clamp and the new speedo? I've never seen the DD speedo's so can't help much there but seems you can space it out for a tight fit.

Actually Ray its like the bracket needs to be shorter, but then the bolt holes needs to line up. The Dakota speedo is identical in size but better, the housing is metal.

Got it all worked out. Bent the bracket just a little but I think the main problem is that I may have over torqued the bolts that attaches the speedo to the handle bar mount. It would be tight until I tightened these bolts so I just backed off a little, everything tight.
