Speedometer & KC Creations replacement

I think my speedometer is broke. I jumps to 60 mph and then back to 0.

The odometer is not working either. I am having no other electronic issues. I took the sensor off and cleaned it. It looked good. It is an 07 K9 with 11,000 miles. Anyone have any other ideas on this?

The good news is I think I found KC Creations replacement for us here in Kansas City. They are MACM (Mid America Custom Machines) in Lee's Summit, MO. One of the mechanics is working for them and they have their request in for authorized warranty work. He already took all my info and is calling BDM to get the new parts coming in. They are also looking at selling big dogs there also.

If anyone on here lives close by and needs there info let me know.

You may want to check and see if the speedometer had the new software upgrade done. If not mistaken it may take care of that issue in many cases.

Need to make sure that your EHC has the one with the USB pigtail on it and not the older style PS2 connection.

I have the newer EHC it has the pig tail on it. The mechanic said if I have any other electronic issues with it he would go ahead and order a new EHC while I am still under warranty. Also my seat has small hole on the bottom edge where my frame is rubbing on it. He is also going to get that covered under warranty. Anyone else had this problem with their seat?

My 2006 K9 seat has a spot were it rubs the frame.

The hole in my seat is right on the seam underneath and I am afraid it is going to spread fast and create a bigger one. I hope BDM will step up and replace it since it is only a year old.

I see it all the time. Not sure how to avoid it other than peeling back the trim and grinding out the pan. Then add pad back to fill the void and re-glue. Some have added a door panel strip to take away the sharp edge of the fiberglass pan also. Either way, you have to peel the leather back.

They build customs trikes right now. But they are going to try and sell big dogs there also. They have seperate show rooms so they can keep the trikes on one side and the BDM on the other.
