Speedometer gone haywire

I have a 2005 Chopper. The speedometer doesn't read right. It's usually pegged all the way to the right. I've tried cleaning the sensor. Do I need a new sensor, a whole new speedometer or what?

If it is stock and like mine which is on a 2006 K9, the wires come off at the solder point on the bad of the speedo. you can take apart and re-solder to fix. there are several things showing you how on this website. not sure where with this new format

yes this is the same one I'm selling. I'm trying to make it perfect for the new buyer. Everything else is in great shape.
