Speedometer quit working.....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been in the background but have found some great information from you guys. My name is Tim and I'm from Dallas Texas. I have recently purchased an '06 Big Dog Chopper. I've had clutch cable issues, adjustment of clutch cable, starter bendix shaft breaks, and found information here to resolve all of them. I want to start by telling all of you, Thanks,
While driving from Dallas to Wichita, Kansas today, traveling at 70 mph, the speedometer needle fell over to the far right as if I was exceeding 120mph. The previous owner mentioned at purchase that he had the same problem with the speedometer about 4,000 miles ago and had it replaced by Strokers in Dallas, the local BD dealer.
The turn signal still works, the RPM indicators work, oil light, and neutral light. I have no back light and the needle just lays to the far right upon turning on the key.
Any ideas from these competant members who have helped so well in the past.
Thanks again and have a great day.
