Speedometer Big Dog or Not?

On my 1999 big dog bull dog, the speedometer doesn't have the big dog insignia on the face dial nor does it have the electronic mileage indicator. Is it possibly because of the age the bike BDM hadn't development one of their own speedometer? The mount for the speedometer has a vent hole for resetting the mileage. Thanks for your help!

My 99 Pitbull dash was the same way. Back then they didn't make as many of their own parts as they did later on. I noticed this when I had my primary apart and saw it was marked HD.
