speedo works sometimes

Sorry for the dup thread - but I cant find exactly my prob.
2007 Pitbull, 2000 miles. I see fog in teh speedo sometimes. All indicators work fine, adn the tach does its startup check/sweep, the speedo does its self check.
When i drive it, thought, the speedo doesnt work - sometimes. No speedo, o odometer. I thought it was b/c of starter cable touching the pickup for the speed, the insulation was compltely gone on teh battery cable - I fixed it so its not touching anything, but thought I would pass it pass the collective here. Speedo? Pickup? wiring? Warranty?

are you waiting for the the speedo to finish its self check before you crank. this will happen if you try to crank before it finishes the sweep. if you are waiting for the sweep to finish then I don't know maybe the speedo needs to be checked out.

You should also ride down to your dealer and have them flash your EHC. This corrects some speedo issues and will cause your speedo to sweep twice.
Fogging is an issue for most and not much you can do about it right now.
