Speedo rubber grommet

Have a friend of mine not a member of the forum who lost the rubber grommet/reset button on his '06 K9 while cleaning.

He was wanting to know if any one here has removed the original BD speedo and was willing to part with just the grommet and not the entire speedo.

Could you please stick in an envelope and drop in the mail?

That does suck, the truth of the matter is that he is probably better off buying a new one seeing that if he does find a replacement he's going to end up with a serious amount of condensation building up under his speedo lense. It happened to me then all sorts of crazy shit was happening to my speedo.

That's just my opinion, We know about the severe humidity we have down here.

It's going to be pretty hard to keep a good seal if replaced.

Yep I concur

I agree Oscar, I believe when he sees Nukeranger's new Dakota Digital on Saturday he is going to want one. He was trying to keep his bike original for as long as possible before trading out parts.

If he wants to buy my original speedometer, we could make a deal.:D It has approximately 2600 miles on it, is about 6 mph off the first three gears, is about 4 mph off in 4th and 5th, and right on in 6th. He can calibrate it to his satisfaction.

But, I have to say that once you go with a Dakota Digital you won't go back.:whoop:
