Speedo recalibrate?

Took the 9 in for the speedo doing the 20-30 mph float over the actual speed. This was random, but happened more after high speed riding. I had already cleaned the speed sensor.

The stealer claims they "recalibrated" my speedo. I trailered home due to rain and have not ridden. This is the first I have heard of recalibrating the speedo's. I think I know what the response will be. Has anyone heard of this???

Yeah, It's in the manual. When you first turn on your bike you see some random numbers. That's your calibration code. The older speedo's used to cycle through three numbers, one being the number of hours on the bike but that has been eliminated.
Haven't had much luck with re-calibration. If the speedo is bad then it's bad. I'm on my 8th!
