speedo problems

I am having som problems with my speedo and wanted some good info. I have a 2002 bulldog and cant find a new one seeing how my trip and odometer quit working. I wanted to know what speedo will fit my model bike I called dakota digital and their speedos only work on the 04 and newer models. I was wondering if any of yall with older bikes knew any new speedos that I could use, thanks in advance for any help. The dog is down and im ready to get her going.

I have not bought one but I did talk with Dakota Digital about their speedometer for my 2002 Husky . They told me they do not have a plug and play for the earlier models ; however they do have one that would work, but after looking at the install instructions I decided it could wait for now. It' s not always easy for the old guys.

You dont by any chance remember which speedometer it was do you. I would try it as long as I dont have to rewire my whole bike. Thanks for the help.

The one I looked at way hly 3011 which was close to the size of my speedo . My speedo is 3.340 outside diameter of bezel. This one was 3 and3/8 inch speedo diameter and 3 and 3/4 bezel diameter so it was close. This has a tach also which I would like. As I said wiring was above my meager capabilities so I will pass until I have to. I did call Dakota Digital and I am not sure exactly what part number they told me but they did say the one for big dog would not work. Maybe somebody else on the forum has crossed this bridge and can offer some help.

EJ, I have a new speedo that I got for my 2000 Pitbull & didn't use. It's a white face with red big dog it's about 3 1/4" with a chrome rim. Not sure if yours is the same if it is PM me:2thumbs:

pompey I would PM you but I dont remember how. I am a little slow on responses I have been working 90+ hour weeks and am looking for a little R&R. If i figure out how to PM you then I will send you pics of my old speedo and maybe it will work. Thanks for being patient.
