Speedo problem

Got a 08 Mastiff with EFI. Went out to ride today and the speedo's not working. Needle doesn't move (but it does on the bit check), and odometer isn't moving. Cant change to trip odometer either. Everything else is working ok (tach, lights, etc.) Any ideas?

bigdogs have had a lot of problems the speedo's. I have 06 K9 and had several replaced under warranty, and it still acts up every now and then. mine has done the same as your but I have been able to shut down and then re-start and it works fine. I am pretty sure the speedo is controlled by your computer.

Did you replace it yourself'? If so, how big of a deal is it? Reason I ask, I don' have a dealer anywhere near here. Thought maybe I could get them to send a new one (under warranty) and do it myself.

On my 06 It involves pulling the tank, as not to scratch the paint. Still pretty simple. See Ray's post on how to change the speedo face-Great Option.
