speedo back from the dead

I think the new software resets the speedo again right after the bike is started, GM - nut just when the RUN button is pressed. You will be able to tell because you will see it swing the needle up to 60mph and back to 0, two times - once when you turn on the key, and a second time after the bike starts. This a response to potentially low voltage when the key is first turned on, but the voltage is back up after the motor is running.

BTW, I was also told that the factory will soon be installing the 310 cca Interstate batteries as stock.

I'm sure the info is from the same person... but you spoke in person so maybe better translation...

I believe they are doing the software upgrade on Raywood's chopper down in Daytona - he'll have first hand experience with it real soon now.

Up until now, we had to turn off the bike if the speedo failed to synch up properly, and that would often cure the problem - this is a software change to "reset" the speedo without turning the bike off.

Yeah whichever way it does it... it resets the speedo and bam... done.

But as I said... this only works or is a patch for the new EHC. The USB version. If your EHC has the round serial port on it... this doesn't apply.
