cylinder heads of the niners look different.
horsepower date and cui in the advertisement are not the same.yellow is a 2005 and the red one is 2010 model.
yellow: 63HP - red: 158HP
yellow 117 cui - red: 121 cui
yellow 2005 - red: 2010
so my thought was another engine is built in.

Looks like the real deal. 124ci carb or EFI? I don’t think they made the K9 until 2006.

2006 was first yr for K-9, K-9 was not EFI till 08 and that yellow bike is EFI so it has to be an 08 or later.
The 124 didn't come in a BDM till 2016 when they came back so that's not likely the original engine.
Also HP of 63 seems REALLY low for a 117
HP of 158 for the 124 is good except that the DSSC primary/transmission on a BDM is only rated to about 120HP after that you really run the risk of issues with the transmission if you ride hard.

I'd get the VIN's and run acheck on the bikes that way -- Either he doesn't know what he's got or it's worse than that.
I find it interesting that the speedometer is on 20 but the bike is in N…
Its a 117 ci engine.
HP is 120. more simple legalize with lower HP in case of emissions report and legalizeover there owner told.

Not according to the photo DynoDave posted. RPM digital in lower right corner. I truthfully don’t know. That speedometer is completely different than all of mine. It appears that you can possibly switch it to your preference.
The reason I was thinking of shying away is you said these were bikes you could afford. They both probably need a lot of work. I bought one recently that I could afford and spent more than I paid getting it right. Yes I have a good bike now but spent much more than I planned on. If you are on a tight budget you need to consider this. Best luck finding your bike. This wasn’t meant to discourage only help you consider the after you buy it.

The yellow bike isn't an 05 K-9 as the K-9 wasn't made til 06 and not efi til 08
Makes me wonder what else is "incorrect/misleading etc"
bike owner is located in slovakia - myself don t speak this language.
He dont speak German - so we try to speak english together.
our english is not the best - so our talk together is a lil complicated.
speedo has not malfunction - you can switch between analog and digital - rpm and mph.
bike is 2010 efi with less than 2000 miles.
engine is 117ci with correct 120 hp. 71 HP stand in the documents.
Title is not in his hands - Only slovakian dokuments - without COC Conformity document
legalize the bike in Germany is complicated.
distance is 1100 kM, roundabout 680 miles. (Germany- Austria - Slovakia)
Have the option motorcycle Hanger but think its better to lean a Transporter.
In case of weather and bike size a Transporter is in my thought the better choice.

Have you tried using google translate -- Have him email you then run test thru google translate option -- Has done a very good job when I have needed it to.
Sounds like a tough sale for sure. Especially the part about “title is not in his hands”. And the documents to register it in Germany? Please just make sure it’s a legitimate seller. So many crooks out there in the world! Best of Luck!!

No way with V&H Big Radius. Had them on my Pit Bull and must change to less sound to get legal.
custom dutys on new vehicles are 10 %. Used normally are free between EU country s.
Like Snuffy said - spend not too much money - a good and legal exhaust is expensive.
Would like the Jekyll & Hyde exhaust - roundabout 4 K bucks.
one year warranty you have only from a official Dealer. This point counts too.

Seems like the emmission regulations make legalize bikes built after 2006 much complications here.
So you can find K9ers built? in 2003 to 2006 in Germany.(only on paper).
