Spedo fix WORKS! - just for your info..

Well, Ohmster downloaded the new software to my EHC last Friday. Since that time not once has my speedo failed to work properly. The way you can tell if the new software is loaded is when you turn the key the speedo cycles as usual, then it cycles again after you press the start button.
There is also a fix for the fogging but according to Ohmster, but the new plug won't be released for a couple of weeks.

Good to know Al, I'm gonna have to have my EHC replaced because the driver that allows the computer to talk to the EHC has become corrupted in mine and my dads bike. Something about the early EHC's with the USB connector not being able to talk to the software anymore. Thats basically what Ohmster said.

I know that they are going with just straight removing of the programming plug for now.

I did this on my speedo but sense they didn't want to leave it wide open (hence the upcoming plug replacement that is a stick on gortex plug) I figure I would implement my own "alteration" till then.

So I used a felt pad. Sticks over the hole to provide a wet barrier but is still breathable.
