Special guest in Palm Springs (Biker Babe)

Hey all, many of you saw my earlier post of a special visitor to the Palm Springs area.

My "special guest" was Biker Babe (Kathy) who was going to fly out to enjoy a few days with all the LA/SD members for a ride out to the Rock Store and maybe Cooks Corner with a possible visit to Jesse James place.

Unfortunetely a prior medical issue is resulting in a surgery she has to contend with that will prevent her trip out here. We are all saddened that she won't be able to make it but there will always be a future day when she can meet all of us here in the area.

Please all, keep her in your prayers as she goes through her surgery next Tuesday. We are all hoping for a quick recovery. Will update you all with her prognosis as I know it.

Yes, instead of a trip to California...I get a trip to surgery....doesn't seem like a fair trade! :zzdisappointed:

I adore Raywood and Kapt124 and looked forward to hanging out with them as well as meeting some other forum members.

Unfortunately for me, moving a sleeping Boxer from the couch, it's difficult to 'lift with your legs' and I pulled/tore the muscles in my abs. This has created a umbilical hernia.

I've never had sugery except for my wisdom teeth removed. I know it's nothing major to go thru and I don't have a problem with handling pain, it's more the idea of surgery and the unknown...and mainly the bill, since I'm a self-pay/poor patient!....well, that and missing my trip!

I wish the guys a continued safe...and hopefully more relaxed trip!

Good luck BB, I hope all goes well. Most hospitals I know will negotiate. I had a friend that cut his finger, went to the ER, was there 30 minutes, only ended up with 3 stitches, and the bill was $1200, no kidding! He told them he had no insurance and he knew they accepted less than the full amount from the insurance companys. He paid in full $217. I took his stitches out the next week . . . plus I called him a few names to insult his manhood for going to the ER for 3 stinking stitches!
