sparks plugs ??

I like the NGK Iridium plugs (DCPR7EIX 6046). I've been using them in my chopper for the past year with great results.

I also had autolite plugs in mine. I switched over to the regular NGK DCPR7E.

I use Champions or Autolite. Change them out every other oil change, just for the hell of it. Cheap maintenance.

I bought a set of NGK Iridium spark plugs, but the gap was already set at .030. Should I go ahead and gap it to .040?

as answered to your other post, fact sheet calls for .044. should be at least .040, don't know about the .044

Simple rule...

40/40/40

40 psi front
40 psi rear
.040 gap

Gas is right. 40/40/40. I use the irridium as well. Great plugs. previously used Autolite 4164's. Good plug but I prefer the NKG's because they last longer, burn better and my bike idles and runs better on them. My 2 cents.

I use Autolite or NGK in both of my bikes and the wifes Sporty. If you look on the S&S website i believe they're recommending Autolite plugs. 40/40/40 is the rule in my garage too.

Just put some DCPR7Es in mine yesterday. Plugs were fouled. After some searching here I put new plugs in and learned to leave the enrichner alone! Hard starts no more!

Yup.. Haven't used mine since (sense)"for gas" reading the posts here last year..

I get the NGK at NAPA for about $5 a piece. Where you seeing them for $15?
