Spark plugs

So what is the best spark plug to run in my 2009 ridgeback 117 S&S?
Right now it has NGK DCPR7E in it. I was thinking about putting in the E3.36 plugs ?
I have seen where the manual says to use champion only And I have also seen people useing / NGK’s / Autolite’s and numerous other spark plug Brands.

I use Champions. Change them right before riding season.

Spark plugs are big business( billions ?)
Why ? because almost every one can afford them and change them
Most plugs do the same thing, that is to provide a arc to light off the fuel mixture.
If the correct heat range and length is correct, and the Mixture is correct then they will wear out but that takes a long time
(hundreds of hours)

So the marketing begins, claims of more power, longer lasting, better mileage, etc etc
And we the public buy into that .
We change them like underwear ,usually for no reason other than marketing
Also when ever a real or perceived problem with a engine shows up they are changed first without any diagnosis
of the problem..(because almost anyone can do it)
new plugs will mask the real reason a engine is not running correct ( bad mixture, carbon/oil fouling, faulty air cleaner,etc.
bad spark from engine to plug (wires, distribution etc.)
this only lasts until the new ones are contaminated.
I have had a few go bad , some were bad out of the box(new doesn't mean it is good)
But a couple of my bikes have over 25-40 k on the original plugs .
never have changed my Big Dog (2001 107 with 10k )
OK I have my flame retardant suit on

No need for flame retardant suit there! Everything you said is true. One other big reason for so many different brands is , unless you have a Diesel engine or electric vehicle, you gotta have spark plugs!

I run the E3's in all of my bikes and they work great

I used to run Champions, then I had a fouling issue because of EFI system and o2 sensors.
To keep it riding during diagnosis and repair time I happened to try e3-36 plugs.
I went from fouling out plugs in under 300miles to not fouling them out at all.

After that, even after replacing O2 sensor, I never went back to champions and probably never will.

I tried the E3 in a lawn tractor that had a leaking valve guide and it did not foul out anymore. Ran the engine for about 2 more yrs after that, then go a new Zero-turn. They do what they claim, but I run the NGK iridiums in all my bikes, That's what I like.

I ran the NGK iridiums for a very short period years ago in my BMC Chopper -- Plus only lasted a couple of week on one cylinder -- damn electrode was GONE when I pulled the plug -- never considered them again.
Glad to know they work for somebody.
