Ok, lets try this. How large of a cam can you go with without getting into reliability issues?

Woods 650 also. Reliable as hell. But the cam is a small part in making a bike unreliable. Shitty work is a bigger issue.

Not sure other than the 650's that are being installed. But need to consider, cam lobe height causing interference with engine case, cam lobe causing lifter roller to interfer with lifter base, interference with rocker arm in top end, valve spring, guide and seal celearance and valve to piston interference.

Sometimes on a high lift cam you can go to a smaller base circle for the cam but I would guess that would be a custom ground unit. S&S tech has been helpful with questions like this before. Key words "Streetable and complete compatable valve train components":2thumbs:
