Cell phone clip (Iphone 6), walking around my 107.

It does sound better in person.

Per the other thread on too low of Idle RPM is horrible on Main bearings...

You guys think that's to low of RPM?
Any guesses what cam that's in there?
The hollow hits, in-between the firing strokes, I assume is the other cylinder on the opposite stroke?

Looking forward to it. We need more videos and specs of what we are hearing. I know on LSX motors, you can youtube any cam, or exhaust and hear 20 videos of each one. you youtube, S&S 107 600 cam and not shit. kinda of surprising actually. or any of the cams really, 585 there is a few of, but its all on harleys.

with short pipes and no baffles, kinda hard to tell, but it does sorta sound like a 585. if the idle is a little low, you can make a 569 sound a little like a 585. (for a little while) it also varies with how well the motor is warmed up. lots of variables.

Wood... not sure about who/what your talking about... if it´s about my vid, trust me it´s a 585. the 569 it´s now on my desk as "paperweight" :2thumbs:

Mittens Bike is an earlier model... 04? I would say it has a 600 cam?

BTW, its with BCT Baffles.

That was my point... 107 stock (if I am not wrong) b4 the EPA crap... they all had a .600 cam .... you need to call S&S and find out
This is what the BDM Service Manual 1994 ~ 2004 says on page one.
"107-inch S&S (Big Bore) motors are identified by the SA (Special Application) stamped near the serial number on the motor cases. S&S 107 inch motors will have either the S&S 520 or 600 camshaft installed."

I believe most were shipped with a 520.

The easiest way to tell is how many MPG are you getting? If you blow through 4 gallons at 100 miles or less it's a 600 if you can stretch 150+ out of the tank it's a 520. The guys with 600's can correct me if I'm wrong here but I don't think they can get 150+ mpg and I can get 150 pretty easy on my 04.

And franco, I believe you proved the point I was trying to make on the other post...any video recording is tough to make educated guesses. Can sound different on any PC and speakers and the recording instrument probably isn't great. How many people have tried to take a video of a concert for it to barely be audible or sound like dog poop?
