so i roll outta my street this mornin after having the solenoid issue over the weekend and notice outta the corner of my eye the speedo spiking,meaning the needle would jump to like 50 while i was kinda standing still and at times while doin 50 it would come back to 0 and outta the blue when stoppin the bike would cut out no lights,no power,pull over to the side turn the key off,turn it back on start and ride off,this happened a few more times when i noticed while checkin things out the ignition switch is doin the same thing CUDAMANS is and its just loosin power outta the blue,i guess from vibration....i got this brand new ignition swith that came with my dual coil set up yet never used it cause with the stock one i wouldnt have to splice no wires,and them freakin wires goin into the switch sure are skinny!!!so in away i am happier and happier each time i figure out a new thing wrong with my bike because its one less problem to deal with..............

when it rains it poors.but aleast your figuring out the problems.i carry an umbrella with my bad luck with this bike.i got war stories.lol

Unless you're bike is under warranty and the dealer you bought it from delivered it with a checklist of problems and the dealer you take it to after realizing what idiots the first bunch are gives you all kinds of grief as well. Apparently if you upgrade to a battery that actually starts your brand new bike without the strain and effort that the crap stock Interstate goes through to do it then it's the end of the world with no solution. Sure, you could say all the bullshit is worth it. You'd be wrong but you could say it.

I mean seriously... what kind of dealer calls you up twice in a week to list all the reasons Big Dogs are crappy and start arguments with you and not get around to any productive conversation until I calm him down and refocuses him on possible solution options? I'm paying HIM?? Do I get a partial rebate for being his shrink?? After spending $40K did he really think I would appreciate him telling me a year by year history of BDM's electrical, igntion, EHC, starter, etc etc problems? By the way all you guys here on this "blog" (he apparently isn't familiar with this new fangled interweb and it's forums) are "idiots" (his words) and none of you have any right or enough knowledge to question the wisdom and experience of the BDM engineers (yes, the ones that made all the mistakes he listed for me).

Yep, that WAS a rant. Sorry about that and the partial thread hijack but I feel much better now. :D :lol: :lol: But seriously, I wish you better luck on yours real quick Jimi.
