Some one has grind top three or four fins and a bit more on both my heads just where the ignition coil lives with dye grinder!!! (lucky it is not visible with the cover on).

There is no answer unless they tried to put a large aftermarket coil that did not fit, then didn't use it! Man that's fucked up! Look at the later coil covers 2005 - 2009. The early bd coil covers were small but the later yrs are larger and will hide this fu@k up! People just do not get it! The fin's displace the heat on these air cooled engines! Cutting them off does nothing but hurts them! Look at a Duetz diecel motor. Closest motor to a EVO style you will see! There air cooled diecel engines rocker boxes, full length rods. Just replaced a jug gasket on one.
