Not a bad call at all Milco, I bought my wife a learner bike and she never felt comfortable or confident in the ride so I encourage her to just ride with me. Plan to sell it sometime soon. Confidence and comfort is definitely a big deal on the two wheels. By the way your new bike is a little awsome itself. Once a BigDogBiker always a BigDogBiker. :2thumbs:
Bought my wife a Buell to learn to ride so she can have my HD. She got quite good at the technical stuff, but all the fuks she works with brought in newspaper articles every day and told he daily about all the accidents and it scared her off. She is not interested in riding her own or with me.

Milco, that must have been a difficult decision, but when it comes right down to it, you made the best decision for you and the best part is you will still be riding 2 wheels. As others have said, it matters little WHAT you ride, what matters most is THAT you ride.

AND, most of us have had other motorcycles, still have other motorcycles, and odds are will have other motorcycles in the future.

Have fun riding (fill in the blank here) and hope your wife feels secure also.
Your new scoot looks badass:2thumbs:

See Ya:cheers:

Sorry to hear you had to part with the Dog. Being comfortable / feeling safe
is a big part of enjoying to ride . Dosen't matter what you ride - its all about the
wind. The HD looks great - enjoy many years of adventures, roads & friends.
I'm fourtunate to have the best of all 3 worlds ,Chopper > bar hopping - Roadking > touring - XR1200 > speed and handeling.
Keep us up to date on how things are going with the new ride. Fellow BDB member !

Whaaaat??? Milco, I did not see this till now.... Bro, I feel you! Riding the K9 in Europe is a constant fight with these fucking roundabouts... they are EVERYWHERE! I don´t mind them... riding alone I actually kinda enjoy them ... but, riding with the wife in the back they are a REAL PIA!!!

Well... this does not change anything brother... you still have to come down South to sunny Spain in summer :D

I like your new Bike, L:eek::eek:Ks G:eek::eek:D !!! :2thumbs:

Oh man,

Milco, what have you done .

You went through a very very tought time getting the K9 street legal in Holland.....

And now you sold it .

I ride my Pitbull with a rigid frame here in Germany faster than all my friends with their HD. Scratched the frame, did 100 mph plus.....

May be you should get a lighter passenger (you know me - just kidding ).

For me my old racer genes came back and I bought a 2013 MV Agusta Brutale RR:

183 kilograms (400 lbs) and 158 hp - the race kit with decatted pipes is already in my garage :D .

Did not ride it yet - but I demounted it already. New indicators, plate holder, mirrors, handle bars etc. And some carbon parts plus new paint on other parts :whoop: .

But I will defintely keep my Pitbull. HDs are boring - my 2009 Rocker C was really boring....

Will you be at the Harley days in Hamburg this year?

Hola Franco,
I want to ride and I didn't feel that comfortable on the K-9. With the Ultra its so easy to ride so I had no choice, I can't afford two bikes:bang:
I still have plans to come to Barcelona this year, I will keep in touch!
How are things in Afghanistan or are you back in Spain?
Keep safe
Hasta luego!

Hallo Jochen,
Yes, I had a lot of trouble but I have learned from it! And I don't regret it, I had some nice rides though. But in the end I want to go weekends away with my wife so this is a better solution. You bought yourself a very nice bike!:2thumbs:
When are the HD days in Hamburg? I was planning to go to Barcelona instead of the Superrally in Poland.
Ride safe,
Milco:D
