Anyone ever try one of those slip on oil filters, slips over the oil filter. Say's they lower temp up to 20 degrees, find that hard to believe. Sorry no pics
I have seen it but you would be miles ahead to just order the K&P oil filter from don at value tech he is a supporting vendor for the site. The K&P not only helps with cooling but you also get better filtering and better oil circulation and pressure.
I've got one on my bike and I like mine, it can't hurt. Priced right (ebay) look good, and even if it cools five or ten degrees, still worth it. Theres "an ass for every seat", "a cover for every pot". It's your bike, do as YOU please!
I ran one for the first year and a half i had my bike.. I did notice a difference in temp... Switched to the K&P when we had a group buy here on BDB, Gave the slip on to a buddy and he ran it for a couple years till he sold his Pit Bull. The K&P seems to cool even better and you cant beat the looks... Defiantly worth the $$
I bought one because I thought it would look good with my oil cooler and stash tube. Just slip it on and off at oil change. Don't know if it cooled any.
youre miles ahead to get the K-P in my opinion. never have to buy another filter,
and looks bad azz!!! i ran in 100+ weather, never even came close to getting
hot,according to my thermometer dip-stick.
