SKIP FIRE AGAIN

Just shouting some thoughts can a bad crank sensor do that (ok maybe the software would caught that), injectors.. it look like more an electrical problem maybe the EHC? I had to replace mine, I went with wire plus. I hope you find soon the problem.

not sure about the ets being replace. I bought this bike two months ago out of state at a honda dealer, they just said it was not getting the proper fuel pressure so they put new one in. Like I said the bike runs great for 8 miles then it starts to cut out on cyc. I don't remember about what temp we are at but I think we were about 230 to 245 deg, don't hold me to that number. But I know we are not running hot by the numbers. What does the ets do? Thanks Murf

chefchef has 2009 wolf and had problems, we checked fuel pressure and it was only about 38 pounds, but bike was running ( not good ). per s&s should be 60 pounds. took awhile but s&s paid to have fuel pump replaced and is runing better then ever. hope this helps.

Engine Temperature Sensor (ETS) however I went back and read your other post and saw you had changed it. You would need to connect to the ECM and read the temperature on the software when it starts skiping. This will tell you what temperature the ECM is seeing.
It's almost begining to sound like a fuel problem and like Bruce said above.

Sorry about that, yea I replaced the ets with same problem. If I had a fuel problem would'nt it be a problem at the beginning of the run etc. I can sit for 20 min and then it is good for another 6 to 8 miles.

Update, We have spark, fuel pr, computer good, bike shuts down 6 miles, checked all wires etc, motor at 250 deg max, does this sound like motor has issues, We are waiting back from s s Once motor cools down it will fire and run good untill the 6 mile mark.

I wish I had more money.
It's weird that it has gone from 25 miles to 6. Is there any way to verify that it is getting fire and or fuel after it shuts itself off? I would start there. It's obviously one or the other. Does it sputter to a stop or just shut down all together? Your sure that the liner in the tank is intact? Do the efi bikes have the vent in the cap?

Yes we have spark and fuel. I got it back to shop tried to start motor would not start, but had 60 fuel pre and spark. runs great then sitting at a short light rpm starts to go below 950 rpm light comes on and then motor just shuts down. I can keep rpm up and get it home most of the time, but sometimes I have to pull over and let it cool for half hour to hour, and then it is good to get to the shop and then it does it again. This time it would not start at all untill full cool down. But it still had spark and fuel pr. Temp was good on both heads etc. I got a bad feeling s. s. is going to want this motor sent to them. As far as the miles, It has been hotter some test days than others.

It would be nice to let them get it figured out. But to be honest at this point I think I'd just put a carb on the damn thing, and call it a day.

I tolddddddd the mec to put in new coll GUESS WHAT!!! It ran perfect, Two months in shop and that is all it was. The coll was working but had heat damage. The computer did not pick up the code on this. Just goes to show you always don't trust that damm computer. P.S. THAT RIDE WAS NICE. But lets wait for the mid day hot ride. Thanks guys for putting in your two cents on my problem. Ride Hard Murf
