SISSYBAR PAD AND PLATE

I just received my BDM sissybar pad and backplate. I have read that numerous guys have had their pads come off when riding and that was even when using Red Loctite. Is there a type of glue/adhesive that could be used to glue the plate to the pad while also loctiting the screws?

Thanks

It's not the screws coming out its the vibration shearing the screw off.....Also the pad need to be tight because it is slipping down and then falling down and then off. It is what it is, good luck.

I asked this same question last year after my pad slid off and dinged the paint. Members replied about the two way tape. It has stayed put ever since.

I went a little more drastic after the third time it got loose.
I used some epoxy on the inside bends of the plate where it goes against the sissy bar -- help on well for over 40K miles (just removed recently due to a mod I am making -- all it took was an extra tap to loosen it up.)
