dude I think big dog didn't offer a sissy bar set for the 02. I know they didn't for the 03. I built mine as far as your p pad contact bdm. I like the one for the 04 bikes it fits better.

Only pic I have is my avatar. The 02 pad is a rectangler pad. the 04 is the same shape but the front where it mates to the seat is concaved it fits over the seat better. Instead of pushing up to it. You follow?

I think BDM had a sissybar for the 02 bikes and older. But it was the flat plate ones like HD makes.

If you want to modify your struts a bit then I would use the Daytec bar. Drill and tap your struts then have a quick releasable like the newer bikes have.

Just checked bdm site no sissy bar for 02 or 03. I think you have the same strutts as the 03. They are to thin to modify.

Yes it does. when I oreded my bike I was told that a sissy bar package would be available. when I picked it up the dealer said bdm changed their mind and it wouldn't be available. I don't think a mod on your struts would work, if they are the same as the 03 which I think they are, cause they are pretty thin on the ends,

Hard to see in this small photo but you might be able to see the two little blocks/mounts you tap to your struts then the sissybar slides in just like the newer models.

I don't think its the thickness. your struts tapper down at the ends quite a bit don't they. that link that ray posted could be helpful. I do think the newer models are thicker where the bar mounts. I have a pic of a stock 03 strut comming soon

the strut is so short that I don't think the mounts that Ray shared would work. The bar would come up in the middle of the seat. The bar needs to come out the end of the strut.
