Mostly (besides cosmetics) support for your passenger or for a sissybar bag. 12" doesn't give you much to hang a bag on but it will getter done!!

Thanks Ray, 12 is all they had but the price was to good to pass-up. You just can't travel with out the dame thing! I will look for a 18" in the future. They seem tougher to find for the 250 size. Funny the 06 didn't come with the receiver stuts, but everybody has the dame luggage rack.

Just as a heads up - the sissy bars (12 and 18) for the 300 MM tire bikes are currently being made to order from BDM. The ETA is one month as they are sending about 10 a week out for chrome.

This doesnt apply to your as yours is 250mm but the point is if you find one, snatch it up because they are hard to come by right now for some reason!

I bought the 18" so the wife would feel more back there on long rides & with the "luggage rack" on you can stack alot of gear on, she wish's it leaned back ah bit its pretty staight up

I bought the 12".... wish I would have got the 18" If you carry a lot of stuff you will need the extra height of the 18.
