Sissy bar struts......

Well after months of searching and seeing over priced struts I remembered a buddy is actually going to school now in his third year to be an architectural engineer and is willing to make me some. I am currently offshore but once I return home I will give him my factory struts and a new sissy bar so he can design the program. Need to make some small changes to it and maybe add in some custom designs but if anyone might be interested in a pair let me know.

This will be for an 03 chopper with a rolling thunder frame I have no clue what else it will fit.

I'm looking myself for sissy bar and strut for a 09 wolf I wished I could find a set some where too. I called BDM and they told me they are having hard time to find somebody that would make them at a decent price. They told me to call back in a couple month.

Yup you are absolutely his specialty will be structure's not buildings. None the less he has been designing things with a CAD program for 3 years now. I do not question his skills to make a small simple radius with a few holes that is flat on one side.

I am sending him my struts to mic so he knows how to design the new ones for the most part he will just have to add the small section at the back for the mount.

I do not know if they will fit other bike models or not so I cant say. If someone wanted to send him their struts or a pair of struts he already said he would design the CAD program and make what ever I need. Material is the only expense as the most expensive part (having someone design the program) I will not be charged for.

Again I work off shore so it will be about a month before I return home to send my struts. I may buy a second set to send to him so I can get the ball rolling sooner however I can not find any at the moment.

Ditto on needing struts on another '08 pitbull. Want Eric at Choppin' Steel to fab a bar, but need struts.

I am still at work for the time being. I should be home around the 10th or so of October and after SPI bike fest I will pull them off my bike and take them up to my buddy so he can design the program.
