Sissy bar removal ?

Wow...just removed the sissy bar / luggage rack from my Coyote....took two guys pulling and one with a rubber mallet...any body else felt the need to use dynamite to remove a sissy bar?.....HELP...any tips for next time?....Grease? Vaseline? Anal Lube?......

Is it bolted in from the bottom with the tapered collets? If so back the screws off a few turns and give it a wack up with a mallet using a wooden dowel on the screw head.

Tip of the day, you prolly should have removed the screws from 1 side of the luggage rack first, because it was either pulling apart or forcing the sissy bar legs together against the strut holes. It just took me a little while to fukus, I mean focus

Might be correct on removing the screws on the luggage rack first....kind of hoped I didn't have to go to that trouble however.....and on the anal lube San Francisco joke.....My mind was on my hot wife....unlike apparently someone else on this thread
