I take mine off. Like others I prefer the clean look plus it looks a bit odd without the bitch pad .

Got a P pad stick on, when shes not on the bike it is off. No sissy bar as i did not like the attachment. When i had my other bike and HD, sissy bar only on when the passenger is on.

When I purchased my k9 2 years ago, it already had a 12" sissy bar on it. I always left it on & also added a luggage rack. Noticed a bolt was gone & had it in for some service, sissy bar is off the bike & at the shop. 1 bolt sheard off inside the bar. Service Center told me Big Dog had said should not be on unless carying passenger, backpack or something on the back. Don't know if that is true or not, I have a 18" sissy bar that I would like to put & keep on all the time but don't want to lose it, damage the struts or fender if it fails. Any opinions ???
