sissy bar back rest R.I.P.

Energy One

toomanybikes

not enough time 4 riding
I run this one from JP cycles it doesn't fit perfectly but it works and I'm less worried about losing it. You could probably heat it up a bit to get it to fit better.

I have a stock BDM one that I don't run so I don't lose it ;)

Here is a pic see one side fits the other is off a bit. It doesn't fall it's snug, it does sit up higher on the bar but no females have complained :) they actually prefer it up higher.

I have the same one (now). The 3M double stick tape and red Loctite on the screws and it has not moved.

I should check Flea Bay. Mine fell off while giving my nephews rides around my home town (801 people) and wouldn't you know... Nobody found it to give it back. B!tches

See my post right before yours.
Yeah that's what reminded me I lost it for the second time..... 1st time I lost it was on a ride in the hills here in SD. Having fun and riding with buddy. Stopped at watering hole and noticed it was gone. So before a cold one I back tracked 30 miles at last stop (Don't find it)
Then 2 months later my cousin (From the east side of state) and I were talking and told her I lost my back rest. She talked to her friend and he said he found one while out riding the hill a couple of months ago......
Small world and I got my backrest back for a 12 pack (I offered he said well yeah duh!)
I guess I don't need a backrest....

yep, had same issue with loosing the back pad when slipping the saddlemen bag on/off the backrest. It started to come off.
used a bit Gorilla glue and now it stays.

I use double sided 3M also - the stuff for emblems. I used a 2 strips down the pad itself, and 2 strips down the metal back plate - then tightened up the screws to sandwich it to the bar. I do hang the bag over the bar tho so now u guys have me concerned.....

With the double-sided tape AND Blue Loctite on the screws you have nothing to worry about! :old2:
