ive been trying to figure out why, when i throttle hard in first and second gear i get a shudder. feels almost like drive belt jumping teeth but im sure thats not the case, belt is new, and snug. checked clutches and look good, primary chain was very loose, adjusted that.. removed clutch hub nut and cleaned and applied lock tight and retorqued the nut. back together and still have my shudder..... ??????????
thanks Dan.

Belt Shutter vs. Chain Waa-Waa

I have this worn rear chain, but I'm going to use new sprockets on it = I have waa-waa now.

I replaced the rear sprocket and new chain, but left the front sprocket to wear out even more as I waste new parts on an old part = She waa-waa-the-fuk?

I replaced all sprockets and chain and now = She is smooth ass a babie's, no shutter at all.

I now upgrade to belt drive. I'm thinking like the new belt is getting a rewind on the old pulleys = I have this shutter-waaaa and covered all my bases.

I better go on line and ask if there are any similarities as if I rub both hands together and ask which one stayed cold as if no wear on one side is I have to think worn out with new is going to act like a = (((SHUTTER))) is my belt making waa-waa-the-not again!!!

I have no clue but to take a guess as if this was chain drive and wear is wear as is old parts vs. new parts.

He only has 5000 miles on the bike, so it shouldnt be worn...he had Possible original fluid when it occured..did his repairs and no change.

OK, I got to ride Dans bike..and its worse than a shudder..it for sure feels like shift fork is bent from 1st to 2nd. and in 1st and 2nd get on it and more of a clunking from the transmission...had to work my ass off just to get it inot 2nd..
HISTORY.
at around 4500 miles his final drive belt got ate up for unkown reason..replaced belt and then there was a trans fluid leak from seal at front pulley..he replaced seal and no more leaks, BUT if there was enough presure on the front pulley to cause seal to leak i would think it could have done some other damage.

I would agree.... if you are having to work your ass off to get it into gear you got transmission problems. Really no way around that....

Readjusted clutch after talking to Andrew, but still can't get it to quit pulling when in gear and clutch pulled back, so looks like I'm gonna have to open it up. Seems I'm gonna have to ship it to Andrew for repairs. Ugh... This dogs bite is rough haha.

Sounds like you had no problem shifting it. I had to clear the trans this way.

WOT a difference the net brings to light.

1. Can I catch N and not creep forward, or have been finding N by rolling to a stop first?
2. When I stab a gear, does it grind and then lurch forward?
3. With a dead engine, I pull the clutch lever in: can I hand spin the pressure plate with ease?
4. Since I've owned this bike, have I missed any shifts in any gear and at high rpm?

normally, a transmission seal doesn't go bad unless the bearings go bad first, or unless you get a piece of fishing line wrapped around the shaft.

I REPLACED THE BELT LAST NIGHT WITH A GATES BELT AND TOOK IT OUT AND SHUDDER IS GONE!! FINALLY.
THE BELT THAT WAS GIVING ME TROUBLE WAS A PANTHER BELT JUST FYI.
