Showing in the morning…

Been a while since I checked in. Been a tough couple of years. Taking this Dog out to a show in the morning.

Wanna give a huge thanks to everyone that contributes to this forum. I’ve searched and found a lot of information.

Don’t get to ride it much, and hopefully all goes well tomorrow. (Just finishing with new fluids).

I lost... Got 2nd place in a winner take all, to a mid-70's Triumph that probably hasn't been washed in 2 years. The dude baby-sat his bike all day chatting everyone up. He won by chatting, so good for him. He told me I got robbed.

I was busy hanging out with the guys I rolled in with. My across the street neighbor in his Coffin Car - 327 c.i. Chevy engine (legit Dragula with working turn-out Zoomies) , and his brother in law driving a black & tan '63 split-window Corvette, and my boy driving my F-150 as a support vehicle. An amazing day all around. I took no photos, but I'll try to get some from my boy to show.

In all honesty, rollin a Big Dog behind a flawless 63 Corvette, with a Coffin Car following, and my son in tow, what a morning.

It was around 8:00 am with heavy fog down corn field sided roads. About 60 degrees - actually wore the leather. 55 mph, down to 30 mph at times. I could smell the race fuel in Steve's fuelie, and saw Tom's headlights and square grill of his Coffin Car in the mirrors (and Junior with my lifted Ford's LEDs penetrating above Tom's car). I'll never forget it. Great morning. Later my son told me he was listening to Alice & Chains' Rotten Apple, and will always remember that. We all know that's a freaking memory!
