Welcome to Mean City Cycles

We offer custom seat modifications to make your motorcycle as comfortable as possible without breaking the bank to do so. Take some time and look around. The Web site is being updated frequently so check back often to keep up with all the new and improved modifications we offer. If you have any questions and can't find the answer you're looking for just shoot us a email and we will reply ASAP! Be sure to check out our FAQ page, it has a lot of the frequently asked questions on it.

Why have your seat modified?

Well, it's plain and simple. The stock seats suck! What we do is remove the cover off the seat and re-shape the foam to be more comfortable. The motorcycle manufacturers use allot of foam in there but their design lacks comfort for a long ride. Most people say they can ride about 30-40 min's before they start getting butt burn. Re-shaping the seat foam will help improve this greatly.

Our philosophy:
Here at MCC is a great seat does not have to cost $500 plus. Our modifications are inexpensive but offer the best sitting seat that is modified to fit you. We all know riders come in different shapes and sizes but apparently the seat manufacturers don't know this. MCC shapes the seat to fit you, whether you're 5 foot tall or well over 6 feet tall we can help make you comfortable on your motorcycle. We fit your seat to you and make it comfortable so you can ride all day. We proudly offer Impact Gel Pads and memory foam - to take your seat to a new level of comfort.

I want to thank all of our customers for spreading the word about MCC. Business has been really booming the past few months and its all because of our wonderful customers spreading the word about us. As they say word of mouth is the best advertising and you guys have been working over time....THANK YOU!!!

Thank you !!

My 2-up seat starts construction this weekend. A local guy is doing the work since the pan needs some modifications to fit the bike. I'm getting the same upholstery, and I think I'm getting the pro pad this time.

The funny thing is as soon as I told him I had the solo seat done on the East Coast, he asked if it was Mean City. Said he had recently re-done 3 of their seats. :)

Cesar - your seat looks great. If you had comfort mods done at the same time I'm anxious to hear how it improves the ride.

One of the old ones.
This is a seat recently done by Seatmaker (Scott), with backrest mods done by Groundpounder (Tom). The seat was my stock ‘08 K9, and Scott used gel and memory foam. I just got back from a trip to New Mexico and it was waiting for me at home Saturday. Can’t wait to put some miles on it. I am sure grateful there are such quality craftsmen around here. You’ll never find better fit and finish, to say nothing of the skill required to adapt the backrest to our Big Dog seat pan.
I put on a lot of miles in all kinds of weather, and because of that elected to keep a smooth seat instead of some of that cool stitching. In my experience stitches ultimately lead to a wet butt someday. Haha But I sure love the diamond patterns....

Bought a bdm seat from Donna a few weeks ago. Raw dog seat that was unfinished. Just the pan and foam.
Picked this up today at Scott's ( seatmaker) place. He's done a couple seats for me in the past with the last one being my Street glide seat.
He really does amazing work.!
Those of you that have had your seat worked on by him know what I'm talking about.
Anyway here's the latest...really diggin it !

So I really like the look of the ebony croc on my black K9 as you know.
The original bdm buttcrack seat on the bike was showing its age so I went back to Scott's and had him cover the seat with the same ebony I have on the other seat and had him add gel in this one.
Did the pillion pad as well.

I'll say again, Seatmaker is truly a Meticulous Master at what he does. Need a seat done , hit him up . You will not be disappointed. Resized_20190914_144806001.jpgResized_20190914_172407002.jpg

Well, who would you say overall would be the best place to send a solo chopper seat to have it customized?
