I won an auction that was on ebay by Bigdogpartsking last Sunday and the seller is shovelhead kicker. Are they the same guys. I haven't heard from them or received any confirmation about my purchase. Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

I ordered from them before and had the same issue, although it was minor. This is the first time I ever bought off e-bay, so not sure what to expect.

It's usually a very smooth transition. Is your paypal set up correctly? You didn't hit the delayed payment or anything did ya?

Personally,
I bought a few things from Derek & Hal when building my bike . Always
Shipped things quickly , no problem there.
I hate to bad mouth anyone its not my style. But I'm still kinda pissed over it. I
spoke with Derek a few times on the phone when I was buying parts for the bike ,
Bought a starter off E bay from Shovelheadkicker , since I was building and eventually needed a starter - I bought a 2.4 remanufactured Spyke starter. It was defective.
The plunger wouldnt work unless it had some pressure on it. The jackshaft wouldn't throw so no start. Somethings up with it . I still use the celinoid button evry time I start it till this day - it sucks !
It took me a few months to get bike finished . I bench tested the starter
before I installed it . Wouldn't work - contacted him and he said the warranty was up .
Just bad business , I'm an honest guy - still feel ripped off.
Could have sent it to him and he could have seen the plunger had no contact marks on it .
Sent me out another one.
Probably buy a new starter this winter. New bike and pushing the panic button every time to start it . SUCKS.
Thank for letting me vent .

Since I bought it from an ebay auction, should I look for a confirmation from ebay or from shovelhead?

I have bought several things from Derek. Never a bad experience. He has warranted a starter and even sent it out before he received the one I returned. I think he is top notch. I would not hesitate to buy anything from him

Yup lots of transactions with them and very pleased....hope nothin happened....sometimes our personal life gets in the way of business....now that just doesn't sound right but that's the way it is.....I wouldn't worry....the shipping was always fast so maybe that'll make up for it....

I know he just took a vacation. We all need a break every now and then. I'm sure you will get your parts as he has been very reliable in the past.

Doesn't sound like your transactions went thru. You should have received an automated confirmation. I would contact them to verify your purchase went thru.

CoachK,
Ebay sends an automated confirmation of your purchase and tracking info to your email and/or Ebay account. You might want to check that your email is correct, I know I had difficulty contacting you before by email.
I don't know by this forum where you live, but I think I know who you are on Ebay. Your tracking info states your package is at your local post office as of 7/13/12. Please let me know if you do not get your item.

Any questions or issues, please feel free to call me.
Thanks!

I RARELY get any communication from sellers now a days on eBay, all the payment is a bit more automated so that you really don't interact with the seller. I didn't like it at first, but I don't care too much anymore. I only deal with sellers that have very high feedback ratings.

Shovelhead kicker is a sponsor here, under the screen name BigDogPartsKing. I wouldn't be worried, they will take care of you. Keep in mind they do a lot of auctions and it's a 2 person operation, they are normally busy.
