Short ride

Last thursday was a nice day in Rapid City, S.D. so took a short ride to the gas station to check the recently installed new Metlzer 300 rear and in the end was a costly one. With less than 30 miles on the rear tire I apparently hit something very sharp and ruined the tire. Better now than durning the Sturgis Rally.

The cut was larger enough to stick a small set of needle nose pliers from the inside/out. I was also trying out the recently installed PDM retrofit kit which works great. My EHC was still working fine just wanted a piece of mind. My friend who installed the kit worked for Big Dog and really liked the new PDM kits for ease of installation, etc.

Glad too to hear about the PDM kit. I'm going to be installing mine next weekend. Sorry to hear about your tire.

Don't you just hate when that happens? The only good thing about your deal is that you got yourself another coffee table stand that also has a story..... Get a glass plate, toss it on top of it and be happy !

Better the tire than a horrific case of road rash, broken bones, internal bleeding along with external bleeding did I mention lots of pain too, and hospital food generally sucks and banged up scooter as well! Glad you didn't get hurt.
