Short battery cable

07 K-9! The positive cable has always barely reached the terminal post and with all the vibration it works loose. Doesn't help to have 4 other leads on top of it! It finally worked loose the final time and melted the post. What's a good solution here? The positive lead is too short. I can't believe all K-9's are this way. As well, I don't need 4 other leads on the same connection. Appears I'll have to drill and put in a stud or pour another battery post as well. Ouch! I know that feeling too well. I ordered some different cables from Barnes when that happened to me. And got a new battery as well. I have tried everything I can think of to keep those connections tight and the only thing that really works is a 10mm wrench on the connection’s before every single ride. I literally do it every single time now before I start the bike. And I carry it in my vest pocket to check’em before I head home to.
:chopper:

Yep! Well, I was forewarned. It got to where I kept a large phillips screwdriver under the seat. If the bike didn't start well, it was my cue to remove the seat and tighten the connector. I hope to find a permanent solution this go even if I have to pour a round post and put on a car style connector.

Put a Deka ETX20L 310cca battery in that. They have a solid post.
