Are the shocks on a BDM Chopper the same as a Harley Softail?

Are they interchangeable? So if I want to change mine out on my 2003 chopper, I order Softail compatible shocks?

Just curious as I don't have a parts list for my 2003 chopper.

I just went out an looked at my chopper vs my Softail and the shocks appear much longer on the chopper, by about 3 inches. That's measured from mount to mount, front to rear.

Let us know if they work and how they feel too.

Will do 03 VS 05 big diff. I hope how much gap do you have between your fender and tire? I have 2 plus inches. The geometry when you drop gets funny. Learned dat when I dropped my 04 sabre. Bought 1" lower shocks then cut them down 1/2". Slammmmmmmmmm! It was a semi hard tail. When I sat on it it hit the rubber shock stops about 3/4" of travel.

Oh PS, I have a fucked up back B4 this!!

What shocks did ya go with? Air ride?

YES I went with air ride.Before my dealer went tits up they had a bike in there with a broken shock bolt.The shop had installed air ride on his bike.My guess he run the air to low or wrong shims or the bolt just failed. 05chop
