i just purchased a 2009 BD wold located in Tulsa OK and i need it shipped to Wilmington NC. if i use a motorcycle shipping company such as keyboard...., it will take up to four weeks. i searched online and found a company that transits partial loads and they said the transit time would be 4-5 days. has anyway ever shipped a bike by using a non bike shipping company? of course, i would have the wolf crated up.... any input wolf be great

Shipped a few bikes - have used Fast Motorcycle Shipping Quotes | MotorcycleShippers.com in the past without incident. Pop just bought a bike in Oklahoma too, he's having it shipped out here by these guys.

Motorcycle Shipping - Motorcycle Transportation and Delivery

Also, have used escrow.com to handle payment/transfer, etc.

Timing depends on their current schedule - obviously they have less trucks on the road (than an auto shipper) so it depends on when they're headed through your pickup and delivery area.

I wish I had more money.
I went through uship.com. Tell them what you have, where it is, and where it's going. People bid on shipping for you. I did this and had my bike shipped from SC to MO. It was like $375.00 or so. No issues at all.

Congratulations on the new scooter. Just a thought I had and the employment I have now since the plant closed three years ago and left. I am working on the inbound shift for a freight company on the dock. We see anything and everything come through on a daily basis early in the morning as we route freight out to be delivered. Motorcycles and other high end freight usually gets better handling than some other frieght does as frieght goes, cause it is a get it and go attitude they push until we are finished as they say , "Breaking" frieght for the day.(if that makes you feel any better) :D

I will tell you this much, not to assume you wouldn't go over it with a fine toothed comb for anything damages , dents in the crate, looks like it was dropped, looks like it was turned over, looks like someone slammed it into other frieght, dropped it off the dock, took it for a ride ( remember Farris Beuller), anything that doesn't like they treated your scooter with the utmost care , "Refuse to sign anything".

I have often thought there is no way I would let these people I am working for now haul my scooter anywhere! If I see it comes through our docks I will personally handle it with the very best of care. ( for real I would!)

Enjoy your new scooter,

Ray :2thumbs:

KeyBoard did a good job for our buyers in AZ. They have specially built palettes/& crates to secure the bikes. I was impressed by the way the bikes were handled. Process took about 2 weeks. Good Luck with the move
