Shift rod length?

Going to install the 2.5 inch extended forward controls on my 08 Ridgeback and need to know what the length of the shifter rod should be? The 2.5 extended control are being removed from a K9 so I want to make sure the extended shift rod length will work on the Ridgeback? Thanks:bang:

Just make sure that when you set the rod length with the adjustable heim joints that you put the shifter in the middle of the freeway space of the shifter and set the rod length to that position. If you go too far one way or the other on the length you will not be able to either shift up or down from the gear you are in.
