Shift Linkage

Leaving it all behind
I want to come up with a design to give me a shifting lever on the right side of my 2007 K9 where the gas tank meets the seat.
this will let me keep my left hand clutch on the handle bars. Has anybody seen this done or have any ideas?

Why not put it on the left and add the clutch to the lever so you can keep your hand on the throttle and operate the clutch and shift with the left hand?
Be much easier to do.
Or go to a auto clutch like the EFM so you don't need to pull the clutch lever to shift just drop rpms and shift?

It sounds to me like you would effectively be taking the job of your left foot (shifting) and transferring it your right hand. Your left hand can still operate the clutch lever but how would you operate your throttle?
Could be I'm totally misunderstanding the question.

that's why traditionally you move the clutch to the foot since the shift is no longer there.

Definitely different but I can imagine that taking my hand off the throttle shifting then grabbing the throttle again would double the time it takes to change gears. I like the idea of the clutch lever being on the left hand jockey shifter but to each his own.

I would think unless you are also changing the throttle and brakes as well it would make more sense with shift linkage on the left.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like I'm going to the left side do to the throttle problem.
