2006 k9 my linkage is sticking pretty bad, i have taken it off and cleaned it soaked it in oil. i know im gonna have to replace the ends, my question is where can i buy a tribal or some other type of linkage. i have looked around not much out there for big dog, im sure other ones will work. just looking for some options.

it may not be the linkage ..my buddies 07 pitbull was sticking and i took the control apart and cleaned it and put grease on and around the contact pionts and the pivot point it works fine now ..may want to try that first ..

I may not know what I'm doing but my linkage on my 2003 Chopper appears to be 17 inches. I measured from the center hole to center hole.

When I inquire about a custom looking linkage that length no one has them. I have tried both companies above and they don't have any that long. Is that the correct length for a 2003 chopper??

could be the measurement without the Heim's. Measure the rod without them and see if that gets you close. Good luck!

when I ordered my Wicked Image shifter linkage, I took 2 measurements
shifter linky itself was 14 5/8 and center eye to center eye on the heims was 16 5/8 .....they had to cut one that long being its not standard length that they make...
here is a pic..

Yup Yup and to add to Chopper Dave. I have one being made to order from W I because i have the 2.5" extended reach on my dog. They are lookin' for the shift linkage body length without the heims.

Damn Dave that sure is purdyyyyyyyy:eek:

Hey Dave not to switch gears on you here (pardon the pun) but what kind of head bolt covers are those......looking for the same thing, preferably magnetic.

Thanks Dave really appreciate it. I like them a lot. The only ones I could find prior to this weren't magnetic. Was getting ready to buy the BDM caps instead. Glad I found them. Looks like about $100 but well worth it. I will call in the a.m. Thanks again.:2thumbs:

no problem John  but the spike you are looking at is the cam cover one...I would shoot Jake a pm and see if he still has them...plus you get 10% discount for forum members...get with Jake, he will answer your questions

I agree with you. Even if they were head bolt covers, I like your bolt cover design. It's exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks, You da man!

Thanks, I'll try that. was the custom made length linkage fairly reasonable price wise??

WI needs the measurements between the centers of the heims. I have a custom linkage, but the style and the heims are of a style different from Chopper Dave's. The contact at WI was Aaron. If he is still there, he is the guy to talk to. On my linkage, my heims were installed in the linkage, at right angles to the linkage. You will note that Dave's are installed at the ends of the linkage. I think mine looks "cleaner," but there is no adjustment available for shift linkage length, and you have to be "spot on" when providing WI the measurements.
Chopper Dave is the guru on this shit...he helped me when I was looking for chrome spacers and hardware to get mine mounted.
