shift lever not returning?

Not really for sure the best place to post this. If this is the wrong place just let me know.

07 k9 having problems with the gear shift not returning mostly when down shifting but occasionally with up shift. Disconnected shift linkage the return spring in the trans appears to be working properly and the shifter seems to move freely without the linkage. Is this a common problem? Does the forward control have a bushing pivot that could be going bad? Or can this be disassembled and greased and put back together? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks Wedan

I had such a problem on the ridge 05. I disassembled the gearshift. There are two seal . They need to be removed, remove the sleeve, wash all the quality, lubricated good dense greasing, install the seal. Most likely this problem. Gearbox is not necessary to disassemble.

Thanks for the help guys the front heim on the linkage does seem a little stiff I'll start there and if that doesn't work I'll see about maybe disassembling the forward control and giving it a good greasing. Can I purchase the 2 seals u speak of Alexey if need be?

Good dose of WD-40 on all linkages/controls will do it! use plies or wrench while applying the meds to make sure it penetrates into the hemis. (repeat as necessary till its sweet, then once a month) :chopper:
