Well as most of you know I got my 08 K9 deliverd Tuesday night and I couldnt get it to start since the battery was low. Well I am excited to say that after charging the battery and installing a longer bolt since the stock one was stripped and only holding half a thread she fired right up. I still need to do an oil change and change the plugs etc so I know shes all good for the new season. I cant wait for some good weather so I can get this beast out and get use to her :whoop: Thanks for all the help fellas. Im gonna check out the site some more and see if there is a how to section for the oil change and spark plug type and torque.

You will find all that you need about service to the dog in the How-To section. Enjoy the bike:2thumbs:

if there's not a how-to for something you need, it would be a good opportunity for you to do one. :D:D:cheers:

Since you had a weak battery, testing the charging system is easy to do and may save you from getting stranded.

You will find she likes to be refered to as a "Beast" too! Especially around where there are a lot of other motorcycles close, no matter who makes em.

Turning out of driveways seems to be a little tricky at first, no big deal. and remember when you hammer the beast you'd best be hanging on tight! You can't go through curves at a 100 either, get used to that too!

Yeah Im planning on taking it real easy at first till I get use to it. I already told the girlfriend no rides on the bike till I feel comfortable. I had it out of the garage letting it run yesterday and I wanted to feel the clutch engagement so when I put it in gear and gave it a little gas to get in the garage I can tell that beast is gonna scream. Ive been riding since I was 16 and Im 33 now but this is by far the baddest and most radical bike Ive ever owned. Closest thing to this was my 06 Night Train. I keep checking the forecast everyday waiting for an almost 50* day to where I can get it out and really experience it.
