Hello everyone. I have a 03 Chopper Dt. Shes always been hard to start but yesterday i hit the starter and she almost started, then i hit the starter again and poof everything went out. No power at all. I leave her on tender and have bout 6 day old battery. Checked all battery cables and wires to ehc and all seems well. Guessing ehc took a dump but would like your input. Thanks for your time

Its a 310 cca its a darn interstate which was weaker than previous batteries but even with a weak battery gauges would still come on but not start. Now you turn the key and nothing no lights no nothing

I learned the hardway that an under powered or under charged battery after some time can lead to other electrical problems. I'd do the same if I were you, spring the cash for a solid battery and have some peace of mind.

Also on the 03's, I've had two of them and as long as my battery was completely charged I never had any lag with the starter.

Glad it was an easy fix.

just some info for you, the '03 didn't come with compression releases. the heads should be drilled and threaded for them if you get the urge to put them in, would make it easier on the battery, starter, etc. i know your pain with the interstate batteries x2. never again.

My money is on the Battery!!!! Go get a better brand AGM battery!!!! Charge it fully before you install it! Then keep it on a tender!:2thumbs:

I had an interstate battery and went to a braile. That is the best battery this old dog has ever had in it.

I have heard and have been told NEVER buy Interstate Batteries for Motorcycles. This is another story to solidify those stories.

Glad you got it fixed and it wasn't the EHC!
