Hi all.
Am running into issues with licensing my bike because the odo does not match the Title (long story). I purchased the bike with a broken odo and didnt get the Title (to know the estimated reading)until after the new odo was over the first 100 miles (you get up to 100miles to set the odo then it locks and cant be programed).

Is it possible to set the odo on the Dakota Digital speedo after the 100mile cut off? Could it be sent back to Dakota to be reset or something? That way I could set to what it should read matching the Title and resolving any issues later.

Cheers.

Hello BIG DOG Rider,

I recently imported me a 2007er BIG DOG Mastiff from the United States.
Now I have the Mastiff here in Germany. Since she has one miles speedometer, I bought on EBAY a used Dakota speedo, as I was told, you can use this to switch between kilometers and miles. Unfortunately, this also shows just miles. Now I've heard that you have to make the adjustment Miles or Km / h in the first 100meilen, because otherwise he no longer can be switched.
In a Harley forum I read, you could bridge two contact points, then you could adjust it again.

Can any of you help me?

If all else fails and I were stuck in that situation, and didn't want to fork over money for a new dakota...Take out your speed sensor, rig something with a piece of metal (or is it a magnet?) that you can pass over the sensor repeatedly (electic motor, drill, etc...), mount it up to the bench, and let it go. This of course assuming your speedo is below the titled mileage. Get it going about 120mph and let it sit for however many hours you need. Just random thoughts...but seems it would work! :D

thank you for your feedback.
But it is posible to make a completly reset on ODO?
I have heard, if I make a shortly bridge to contacts, and the Dakota ODO go back ask is new.

If that's the case, I see how people are selling 05 and 06 bikes with less than 500 miles. I never could understand how or why people would have a dog for that long with hardly any miles. I put 4k on mine riding an hour here and there this summer!

I'm ready for a New Year's Day run!! Anyone else plan to ride first thing next year?

Cheers!!!
