I know that this has probably been beaten to death, but does anyone know where you can obtain a service manual without paying an arm and leg? I have a 04 chopper and am coming up on my 5k service. Thanks for any help.:bang::bang:

I just bit the bullet and bought one for my 03 Chopper; it was $114 bucks but I think it was worth it; has a good electrical schematic anyway...just sayin'...

I have the factory manual for my '04 Mastiff and it absolutely SUCKS !!! Big bucks, too. As for your scheduled maintenance, check out tech threads on this site, especially from "Gas Man"; much better than the book.

I also pondered back and forth in the beginning about spending 100 bucks on a book and finally one day did it and probally one of the best purchases for the bike...Not sure about anyone else but for me it gave pretty good information and detailed breakdown in pictures of different areas of the bike.....By the way I have an 07 Chopper

Thanks for the response. I guess it's bite the bullet time versus paying some bike shop for half ass work. I do all my services for my Harleys (don't screw with the forks). Maybe a bad move now all my kids and friends want me to do theirs.
