Today I listed it in Craigs list Oklahoma City, I had 4 people say I liked the photos and I will give your price. They all had a different story, one was deployed in the military and a way of their own to do business and they just wouldn't give up and just go away. I must have been fresh meat for them. All of them had out a state area codes but they could be there tomorrow. They wanted signed paper work from an on line service, my personal info and vin and they had some one to pick it and handle the paperwork. Some wanted me to open a pay pal account. Sounds like they got it down. I told them all the only I would do business is Face to Face, CASH, No Free Rides, A Bill of sale with their personal info, then we could go to the TAG Agency for them to verify the VIN, and they could pay their fees for registration and tag putting the bike in their name and hand me the cash. I wasn't willing to do a simple notice of transfer. I would remove my License Plate. Then we could return to my home to let them have the bike. None of them were willing to do business my way but they keep texting me. I wonder why? You got to protect yourself. I haven't had my consultation yet with my urologist, it will be on the 19th but the nurse told me I had stage 4 prostate cancer with a gleason score of 8 to 9. just to let you all know, Ron the Tree Guru

One of the old ones.
So sorry to hear you’re having to go through this—we all wish you the best and hope for a smooth path. Even if your dog sells, please stick around here on the forum-I’ve seen your posts and you’re a good guy.
Not too long ago we sold wifey’s car on CL and had inquiries from many suspicious people. Same as you—-a$$hats looking to steal identities. Don’t give them anything (including your email and absolutely no home address). Lots of predators out there—be careful. Last one we sold I tried Autotrader w/o much action—posted on Facebook Marketplace and it sold for very close to our price in a couple of days. Interestingly to a guy from St. Louis (we’re in NW Arkansas). Apparently they can search for deals far and wide. Came with cash and we met them at a local bank to do the deal.. Gotta be careful and not allow vulnerabilities……having a CCW permit helps your personal sense of security too…..haha

Two days ago I deleted my add with craigslist. I was getting so may responding, they would say like photos, like price, they want it but every thing past that was suspicious. I started worrying about identify theft and getting scammed. I was afraid to give out any personal information, I was feeling insecure. Also, I had put one of my work trucks in craigslist at the same time, Also, I deleted this add . This was just a back up truck I bought new, the original owner, garage kept, low miles, I hadn't worked out of for 10 to 15 years and the same thing happened with responses. To me it just wasn't normal, it was like piranha on a feeding frenzy . Placing an add today is much different than years ago.

I would try putting a for sale sign on it and park it at the road. Or maybe car trader. Otherwise unfortunately it’s going to be a bunch of scammers and bs on Craigslist or facebook marketplace. It’s not enough to deal with the troubles you’re facing then you have the added stress of this shit. Sorry brother, hopefully it will get better soon.

I live on fenced 5 acres on a busy 4 lane. I might think about putting just inside the fence during the day time. The traffic will be able to see the bike.

Well I still have fairly good luck on Craigslist for buying at least but I’ll never touch fb again. As careful as I am the scammers are better, lost $2500.00 last month to a post about a church friend .
what is the truck you wanting to sale ? I’m a sucker for trucks.
It's a 1998 ISUZU NPR GVW11,000 lbs., 5.7L 350 gas, 4sp Automatic, 112,775 mile, Garage Kept, Original Owner, Flat Bed 4 RKI tool Boxes, and 2 spray rigs, one a Jim Bean 300 gallon with a piston 10 gpm pump, the other is a 200 gal poly tank with Hypro D30 pump, both with Honda motors. 6 new Michelon tires, and a newly rebuilt transmission. The seals dried up in the transmission because I didn't drive it enough. Since The transmission was rebuilt I drive it 20 miles every 2 weeks. I kept it all these years to have as a back up truck but never worked out of it in quite a while. I used it to spray lawns. I quit spray lawns years ago and work out of another truck with stronger spray rigs to service Trees and shrubs. I'm a certified Arborist doing therapeutic treatment on sick trees and doing maintenance programs for trees and shrubs to keep them healthy. I don't do any pruning or take downs except at my own house. Physical work gets tougher the older ya get.
