Will it allow you to get your seat on and off for maint/cleaning, etc...?????The screw is going to be a Torx anti-tamper.

I don't understand why you would want to do this. You don't see the suction cups, the seat doesn't come off that easily and you want to drill holes in the fender? It's yours and you can do what you want.I'm thinking about bolting my seat down Harley style (more because i don't like the suction cups). As I recall, there's an insert/nut available at J&P Cycles for about $10. I plan to buy two and drill the holes in my fender for the solo seat and the two-up seat. I plan to strip the tangs of some old stock Harley seats I have and bolt them to the seats. The screw is going to be a Torx anti-tamper. I hate to destroy the clean look of the rear fender, but I'll get over it. Has anyone else tried this approach?

Nope... my bud Big House took the idea from BBchopper who used a truck tail gate cable. But big house used a battery cable which was easy to get... BAM. I did the same and put up a thread on it. Just doing my part to spread the knowledge.once again another great idea gas man u da man :2thumbs:

WHAT??????I want tools required to remove the seat. First to add a step in accessing the under seat (battery, alarm system, etc), second to better secure the seat.
all you need is your two hands....just pull up on the little tabs on each of the suction cupsI want tools required to remove the seat. First to add a step in accessing the under seat (battery, alarm system, etc), second to better secure the seat.

oh....yeah my bad....I read it wrong:lol: but there are people that don't know how to remove the seat......I think he is saying, if someone wants his to steal his seat, or lift it to get to his stuff, he wants them to have to use tools to slow them down or deter them from the idea all together. I think that's what he means. Maybe I should do a "How to remove your suction cup seat" thread.
