I have a 2003 chopper that has the rear seat post in the fender
I have bought a different fender that i have cut and shorten it
was wondering if i needed to buy ,and if it would fit a 2004 seat
or can my seat be changed , eliminate the rear seat post and
go to a suction cup rear seat like on the 04's
I have an custom seat

i hate to do a complete seat again is it possible to get rid of the post
and add suction cups to the rear of my seat
Thanks

Pick up some suction cups at your hardware store, drill a couple of holes in your pan, not sure of the drill size, start small, heat the button on the suction cup with a heat gun a little bit and push her in the hole. Wa la:2thumbs:

Yes Scott is the seat man !
I just went threw the same thing. I opted to sell my 03 seat to a BDB memberand
buy a 04 seat with cups off Fee Bay. I'm saving up to have Scott recover and add gel.
But I agree with Scott I think they could be fastened. Maybe get new BDM cups from Lena at Strokers in Dallas. Shes a great help with parts.
Good Luck

I hope I am on topic and not hijacking the thread but doesn't an 03 chopper and an 03 mastiff use the same seat??

That I don't know. I'm leaning towards no but not sure. I've thrown an 04 chopper seat on my 05 Ridgeback with no problems but the mastiff is a whole different frame.

I have heard that the frame on a mastiff and a chopper were the same except for the rake, that could be completely wrong.

The thing is I talked to you on the phone about making me a custom seat and I'm trying to find a used one to buy and get to you.
