The Bobber seat looks cool on there forsure. I welded one up on a custom bobber/ chopper build but wouldnt even consider it on my Ridgeback.
Couldn't stand the seats size mostly.. 9.5" wide by 12" long is way to small. Found alittle bigger but still didn't help. Springs were garbage on all seats I tried. Different vendors as well.
I ended up going w/ 2 mono shocks on same seat trying to make the it more comfortable over the cheap springs. Thinking I could get more adjustability and comfort out of the coilover style shocks. Not sure it was even worth the time to even fab up different mounts.
Something to really consider before gojng that route..... your @$$ & nuts!
Mine just can't handle any bobber seat. Ain't saying I got anything more that average nuts but if your that or more... seriously think about that confort level. No lie... Every chance stand up... i take it. Constantly trying to adjust them takes the cool factor out of that style seat in my opinion.
If I was to attempt that style again, I would be looking for a HD Crossbones seat. Or even the newer HD 48 sporty bobber style. They are bigger overall but don't look like the old WW2 seats and 100% better than any Amazon seat or similar out there.
There is a guy on FB MP here in Chicago who makes some badass custom leather tooled seats. Many different styles in stock too. Here is one I was looking at minus the HD part.
As for my origjnal search above.... I eneded up with a new custom made Danny Gray/ Airhawk PSH seat after all. Well worth the wait and great customer service
There is a guy on FB MP here in Chicago who makes custom leather bobber seats if someone wanted to go that route. I almost did but am selling that the bobber chop now.
